These Terms of Service apply when you use The Rats Locker website or purchase products from us.
By placing an order with The Rats Locker, you agree to these terms together with our Returns & Refunds Policy, Delivery & Shipping Policy and Privacy Policy.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
1. About Us
The Rats Locker is an online retailer supplying Royal Navy, ship, branch and military-themed clothing, gifts and accessories.

2. Products and Product Information
We make every reasonable effort to describe our products accurately and to display product images and colours as faithfully as possible.
However, colours may appear slightly different depending on the screen or device being used.
Many of our products are made to order, and some products are personalised, embroidered or otherwise produced specifically for the customer.
Product specifications, designs, availability and prices may occasionally change. Where a material change affects an order already placed, we will contact you where appropriate.
3. Personalised and Custom-Made Products
Where you provide names, wording, dates, numbers or other information for personalisation, you are responsible for checking that the information supplied is correct before submitting your order.
Please check spelling, punctuation and capitalisation carefully.
Products that are personalised, customised or made to your specification may not normally be cancelled or returned simply because you have changed your mind. This does not affect your rights if an item is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or does not match the order placed.
4. Orders
When you place an order, you are offering to purchase the products shown in your basket.
You will normally receive an automated order confirmation. This confirms that we have received your order.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where there is a genuine reason to do so, for example:
- an obvious pricing or product-information error;
- a product being unexpectedly unavailable;
- suspected fraudulent or unlawful activity;
- an inability to fulfil the order as requested.
If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the amount paid for the affected products.
5. Prices and Payment
Prices displayed on the website are the prices payable unless an obvious error has occurred.
Delivery charges, where applicable, will be shown during checkout before you complete your purchase.
Payment is processed using the payment methods offered through our Shopify checkout.
The Rats Locker does not receive or store your complete payment-card details.
6. Production, Delivery and Shipping
Many Rats Locker products are made to order, so production time should not be confused with postal delivery time.
Estimated production and despatch times are shown on the relevant product pages and in our Delivery & Shipping Policy.
We make every reasonable effort to meet the stated timescales, but occasionally delays can occur because of production, embroidery, suppliers, carriers or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where the law requires a particular delivery period, your statutory rights remain unaffected.
7. Returns, Cancellations and Refunds
Your rights to cancel an order, return goods or receive a refund are explained in our Returns & Refunds Policy.
For standard goods bought online, UK consumers normally have a statutory cancellation period. Personalised or custom-made goods can be exempt from the normal change-of-mind cancellation right.
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights where goods are faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise fail to meet the requirements of consumer law.
8. Faulty or Incorrect Goods
Products supplied by The Rats Locker must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for their intended purpose where required by law.
If you receive an item that is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or materially different from its description, please contact us so that we can resolve the problem.
Our request that customers contact us promptly does not reduce or replace any statutory rights.
9. Website Availability
We aim to keep the website accurate and available, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access at all times.
We may occasionally update, suspend or change parts of the website for maintenance, security or operational reasons.
10. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, website content created by The Rats Locker, including product artwork, photographs, graphics, text and branding, remains the property of The Rats Locker or the respective rights holder.
You may use the website for normal personal shopping purposes.
You may not reproduce, copy, commercially exploit or redistribute our original content without permission.

The website uses services supplied by third parties, including Shopify and payment, delivery, analytics and other service providers.
Where you follow a link to an external website, that website operates under its own terms and privacy arrangements.
We are not responsible for the content of unrelated third-party websites.
