Black Tot Day A Tradition Never Forgotten Pin/Lapel Badge with naval skull, cutlasses and gold rope border, 31 July 1970

Black Tot Day — A Tradition Never Forgotten.

On 31 July 1970, the Royal Navy's daily rum ration was issued for the final time. Known ever since as Black Tot Day, the occasion marked the end of a centuries-old naval tradition remembered by generations of sailors.

This 'Black Tot Day — A Tradition Never Forgotten' Pin/Lapel Badge features our new commemorative design: a skull in a naval-style beret, crossed cutlasses, an anchor and gold rope detail, together with the historic date 31 July 1970. It makes a distinctive keepsake for former matelots, Royal Navy families and anyone with an interest in naval heritage.

Wear it on a jacket, blazer, cap or bag, or add it to a naval memorabilia collection.
