Black Tot Day — A Tradition Never Forgotten.
On 31 July 1970, the Royal Navy's long-standing daily rum ration was issued for the final time. Known ever since as Black Tot Day, the occasion marked the end of a tradition remembered by generations of sailors.
Our 'Black Tot Day' Personalised Travel Mug commemorates that moment with a distinctive naval design featuring a skull wearing a naval-style beret, anchors, cutlasses and gold rope detailing. The design bears the words “Black Tot Day — A Tradition Never Forgotten” and the historic date 31 July 1970.
This insulated travel mug with lid is a practical everyday companion for journeys, work or the car, and makes a thoughtful gift or keepsake for Royal Navy veterans, their families and anyone with a connection to the Senior Service.
