Royal Navy 'Rum Rat' — A Little Naval Humour, A Lot of History.
For generations the daily rum ration was part of life in the Royal Navy. Our Royal Navy 'Rum Rat' Hip Flask Set celebrates that tradition with a decidedly bleary-eyed naval rat raising his tot beside a rum barrel. The circular gold-rope artwork carries the dates 1655–1970, recalling the historic daily rum ration that ended on Black Tot Day, 31 July 1970.
The black flask and four matching tot cups feature the same characterful design, presented together in a gift box — a memorable present for former matelots, reunions and anyone with a connection to the Senior Service.
